King Claudius of Denmark and Queen Gertrude of Denmark are
now officially hitched. The royal couple tied the knot on Tuesday in a fab but intimate ceremony
attended by family and friends. Celebs spotted in attendance included the
Lord Chamberlain Polonius of Denmark; Ophelia and Laertes, children of the Lord
Chamberlain; and Prince Hamlet, son of Queen Gertrude and the late King Hamlet, nephew and stepson of King Claudius.
The popular couple saw nothing but happy wishes from the Danish people despite the scandalous death of the queen's ex-husband only two months ago (can you say "robbing the casket?"). Everybody was on edge the day of the event, as a public
scandal tore the royal family apart shortly after the wedding was announced. Hamlet Jr., son of the late King, was overheard by paparazzi laying into his mother for her decision. Earlier this month he stated in an interview with TMZ that the wedding was a “disgrace
to [his] father’s memory,” and that he wasn't going to “call [his] uncle ‘father’.” Who could blame the guy?
The ceremony itself went off without a hitch, but you won't believe what happened next.
The
young prince was spotted hiding his beach bod under a gothic outfit and black jacket. Sorry Hammy, I think you got Halloween's date wrong this year.
Rumoured girlfriend Ophelia had the following to say regarding her
beau's new duds,“Hamlet is still in mourning, and wanted to pay
his father respect considering [the wedding]” she added that “[it’s] unusual,
but I support his decision; I think it's important for him to deal with his feelings." Queen Gertrude’s p.r. team noted that she was “disappointed at
[Hamlet’s] choice to wear all black, but hoped that his attendance at the
wedding marked a new chapter in his ability to accept the Queen’s life choices
and the fact that people do move on.” What a BITCH! Am I right?
